The Johnson Aquajet WD 5.0 pump can supply up to 5 GPM and up to 70 PSI (150 foot lift). Available in 12 & 24V versions, Aquajet pumps can be powered from solar, wind or any 12 or 24V battery source.

 

Compared to conventional three or four-chamber diaphragm pumps, the Johnson Aqua Jet demonstrates dramatically lower noise and water pulsation characteristics. It has smooth and pulsation-free flow due to its.five chamber design. The enlarged five-valve, five-chamber design improves efficiency while reducing motor speed at the same time. Lower stress on the diaphragm increases its life as does the fact that the diaphragm snaps into place and is therefore not perforated anywhere by screws or bolts. A 70 PSI pressure limit switch is included. Snap-in ports make it possible to choose a variety of different hose connections.

AQUAJET PERFORMANCE

The following table and graph shows pump performance with 12 Volts supplied to the pump.  The Watts column shows the approximate PV module power required to pump at full volume.  A smaller PV array can still pump to higher head than indicated, but the volume will be correspondingly less.

When running from solar panels, the water flow is proportional to the amount of sunlight.

and two module (160W) systems.  For solar operation, a solar pump controller must be used.

AQUAJET APPLICATIONS

The Aquajet WD5 is ideal for stock watering, irrigation, portable water washing applications, and remote home water systems.  While it is not a submersible pump, and must be installed in a relatively dry location, it has a sealed motor and so can be positioned above water level inside a dug well or 10 inch or larger well casing for deep pumping use.

We offer two Aquajet kits containing pump, pump controller, wiring (including 50 ft of pump wire), solar panel(s), wiring and pole-top PV mount.  All you need to supply is a 2 ½” mounting pole.

AQUAJET ACCESSORIES

  • A PumProtector inlet strainer is supplied with the pump and should be used before the pump intake. Quick-connect, hose or threaded connectors are also supplied with the pump.

  • A single-pole double-throw float switch is available to stop pumping on either delivery tank full, or source (well) low-level. FS-DP - Price $45 + $7.50 S/H
  • A reverse acting pressure switch is needed for feeding pressure systems.  The PS-RA switch is available for $67 +$7.50 S/H.

 

AQUAJET WARRANTY

Solar-Stream guarantees its pumps to be free of manufacturing and design defects and will replace or repair any pump for a period of one year from the date of sale to the end customer.  The actual life of any pump is a function of operating conditions and water purity.  You can expect many years of service from your Aquajet pump, and should any problems arise, spare-parts kits are available to protect your investment.  Solar-Stream can also rebuild pumps for you. PV modules are guaranteed from 5 years to 25 years, depending upon manufacturer.
